Experimental takes on three different musical genres all mixing together to form one highly impressive line-up.

Fuck Buttons, the UK duo, have built up a loyal fan base in the past few years with their wonderfully complex electronic beats and compositions. Think along the lines of a fast-paced Mogwai and the NYC band Battles in terms of song build-up and scope.

Health and their synth-hardcore-rock song Die Slow (below) is one of the stand out singles of the year for us. Just listen to that driving mash-up of industrial noise, the eerie vocals and the thumping drums all merging together to transport you into a dreamy, steamy world of basement parties and getting all messy with art kids. Perfect.

And lastly the wonderful Picture Plane who pay a great homage to the big beat, swaying reverb and whistle sounds of the early 90s mixing with DnB rhythms, electro build ups, new wave melodies and girl singing a la early/recent Prodigy: ‘Come with us to the dance floor.. you and me, cos that what it’s for!’ Ohhhh it’s going to be a great show all round.
