These two guys and one girl (the winning alternative rock combo) aka The Thermals were one of the stand out tracks on a Subpop compilation we owned way back when and we’ve loved them ever since. The raw lo-fi grunge nature of their 3min songs, which has seen some what of a revival of late with acts like The Black Kids, Mazes, Teenage Lovers now on the scene, resonate that growing up teenage mix of angst and love, garage indie and pop. Think old Weezer/Pavement style.
