What a few weeks! It’s been great for seeing the more interesting sides of music and new medias in general and this time round, State X New Forms festival – the festival for avant-rock, cutting edge electronics and nu-art is up and about in Den Haag and with a line-up that includes Peaches, Gary Numan and Battles its going to be NXT LVL stuff (for full line up click this link).

“Here it is: The sixth edition of the State-X New Forms Festival. Once again HPC and Paard van Trojee have joined forces to bring some of the best and most anticipated acts of the current international underground movements to Den Haag.

As in previous years the program has been compiled along the X-plore themes (what are new developments in the experimental Popmusic scene?), X-plain (inspired and triggered what those developments?) And X-honored (what will possibly happen in the future?).

So, it is all serious business at this State-X New Forms Festival? Well, the organization will not hold it against you if you just enjoy yourself, move around on the dancefloor or just have a smile on your face. Do not worry, they will not tell anyone.

Not to be forgotten is to give credit to all the people and organizations who make this feast for mind and body possible.

In the first place the cultural department of the Hague-city council, who have also expressed their belief in the festival for the next four years. A big hands up for Fund 1818, SNS REAAL Fonds, VSB Fund, the government of The Hague and Heineken.”
