Local Label Love – Narrominded FREE mix download

Narrominded is a Dutch music label that releases records and mp3’s from alternative acts like Boutros Bubba, Gone Bald and Makazoruki, to electronic or electro-acoustic acts like Psychon Troopers, Hydrus, Coen Oscar Polack and Living Ornaments. Today we’re showing them some love as their bands produce some of the most interesting music we’ve heard from this country in a long time. ECLECTRO PRESENTS EXCLUSIVE NARROMINDED MIX BY DJ MARCELLE VAN HOOF

Webzine Eclectro invited us to present the electronic side of our catalogue in a mix. To make this a special thing instead of simply a bunch of songs in a row, we’ve invited DJ Marcelle van Hoof to make the mix. We know her from gigs in Amsterdam and from her show Another Nice Mess (hosted on dfm.nu) and we figured that her eclectic and slightly chaotic style of mixing would fit our music. The result is an exciting selection of Narrominded tracks mixed with a.o. Pandit Pran Nath, Listen With Sarah, Raymond Scott, musicians from Ethiopia and Mali, a skipping cd-player and an original Dampflokomotiv. PREVIEW TRACK FROM DEBUT ALBUM BY HUNTER COMPLEX

Our first release in 2010 will be the debut album by Hunter Complex. Hunter Complex is the new moniker of Lars Meijer. His debut cd Hunter Complex will be released in January 2010 and contains 12 songs. The music echoes influences by synthpop and new wave bands from the eighties, but will also appeal to fans of current electronic music acts. Stream and download the track Wait here. The album will be preceded by the Here Is the Night EP in December 2009 with remixes by Garçon Taupe, Spoelstra and Coen Oscar Polack and an extended instrumental of the song Fashion Street.

PREVIEW TRACK FROM THE ALMIGHTY INTERNET BY SPOELSTRA

Our second release in 2010 is the cd The Almighty Internet by Spoelstra. Using a guitar, a synthesizer, a sampler, a loopstation, a bunch of effects and/or perhaps other instruments and stuff, Spoelstra produces songs with elements from electro, country, sludge, noise and improvisation.
