WHY? return to The Netherlands to serenade us with their own brand of awkward lovesongs for the bleeding-hearted.
We at Amsterdam Event Guide have been following WHY? since back even before they played in an overheated tent at Rotterdam’s Metropolis festival in ‘06, and cant wait to see them again, this time belting out tracks from their latest efforts Alopecia and Eskimo Snow.
Yoni (the voice and founding father of Why?) has the ability to glamorise day-to-day happenings with a unique wit and charm, delivered with sincere-come-deadpan delivery, while the rest of the group fiddle and tinkle with skins, sticks, strings, bells, and keys to colour these diary-entry styled tunes. This, the only Holland show on this tour, is at Ekko in Utrecht, and well worth the train-trip!
