Fuzz, bangs, crunch and ‘oooh aaah’ melody. That’s what you get from San Franciscan art noise experimentalist Aria C Jalali, the mind and body behind Railcars. It’s lo-fi synth pop with the emphasis on the lo-fi, the synth and the pop. Occasional cutesy casiotones make us pine for long-lost indie poppers John Wayne Shot Me, but there’s also a dirtier noise in action here – aided by the sublime techniques of Xiu Xiu frontman Jamie Stewart, producer of the 7″ ‘Cities vs. Submarines’ 7”. Just recently he put out his ‘Cathedral With No Eyes’ EP, and yes, it’s still a noisy, distorted, messy take on pop. Wonderful.

& KANIA TIEFFER (BE):
Lo-fi punk rave galloping across the Belgian border. Yes, it is a girl. A girl gone wild. A girl creating short songs in her Brussels laboratory since 2004 with cheap keyboards for children, an old computer and an electric guitar.

For three Fridays 12 young photographers showcase their own interpretations of hip-hop, rock and jazz exhibit. Besides the opportunity for an exhibition, each week a winner is chosen for paid photo assignments and receives goodies from State Magazine, Vans and Wicked Jazz Sounds.

Besides the photo-exhibition there are also DJs and live acts there. Hiphop, the first theme of the photo-exhibition. On this evening, 05/02/2010, the DJ’s Edzon, Super Blenders and Full Crate will provide the best hip hop tunes.

On February 12 the theme will be supported by rock DJ’s Dim Browski, Jay Esty and rock Firestone.

Aïscha Singer and DJ Ben Sjay will bring you into jazz realms on the latest photo expo on February 19th place.

Publicist is the electronic solo project Sebastian Thomson of TRANS AM, WEIRD WAR, ex-DEAD KIDS. This new incarnation takes the shimmering sexghost of disco and pummels it into a sleek panther that leaps from shadow to shadow briefly glimpsed in the reflection of disco lights on the effervescent surface of a flute of champagne.
