Herald by the alternative British music press as the band that should have won the Mercury Music Prize.. (but who did win Drowned in Sound’s Neptune Music Prize), Late of the Pier released a corker of an album last year ‘Fantasy Black Channel’ mixing seamlessly the electronic with indie and pop. Off-beat and heart-racing rhythms, discordant tempo shifts, drum solos teamed with brashy rifts produced a sexy, up-lifting and sometimes tribal record. A seminal album… and they’re here DJing, great stuff.

Also on the bill is trash-electro artist Shadow Dancer and the whole thing (alongside the Undercover crew) has been arranged by Bloggers Delight, a UK based event ‘purveying all of the hottest sounds available on the blogosphere and beyond’. So it’s going to be a gooden!

We love this band, they oooze cool, they sound beautiful and we can’t get enough of them. Flying in from New York, this hottly tipped band are playing in the Paradiso small hall at 19.30 for a mere 10 euro sheets (+ membership).
